About Us
Joyce V. Brown Consulting is a group of expert practitioner counselor leaders who specialize in coaching counselors working on the front lines of schools. We are a one stop shop for strategic post-secondary planning services for schools, especially districts requiring college and career readiness counseling services to address complex school populations (i.e. low-income students, social-emotional needs, and non-traditional families).
HOW WE CAN HELP
Our team has over 100 combined years of educational experiences across all facets of the k-12 landscape including national, district and school based leadership, as well as, leading national organizations, and working within national and state organizations. Our team members have served as school counselors, classroom teachers, special education teachers, principals, district administrators, CTE coordinators and superintendents.
Additionally, the team has provided key leadership for the White House College Opportunity Agenda Convening’s on School Counselors and College Advising. Team members have also have held key national leadership roles including leading the Department of Education National FAFSA Tracking Project, College Board National Office of Counselor Advocacy, President of the National Association for College Admission Counselors and the President of the Illinois School Counselor Association. Most importantly, the team possesses the expertise to work alongside building level practitioner’s to create action plans and integrate cultural nuances into focused systems using data and collaboration to support the achievement of measurable goals.
